Consumer Health Sciences was founded in 1996 with the mission of bridging the gap between outcomes research and marketing by gathering in-depth survey information from consumers. The foundation of the company, the National Health and Wellness Survey, was first launched in 1998, and provides a unique look into the healthcare market from the viewpoint of the consumer in over 75 therapeutic categories.
Over the last 9 years, Consumer Health Sciences has built some of the largest disease specific, patient reported databases in both the US and in Europe. Major pharmaceutical and biotech companies now confidently turn to the National Health and Wellness information to help power their marketing campaigns or to establish outcomes metrics for publications. Clients look to the self-reported consumer insight from the National Health and Wellness survey to give them a 360-degree view of the population including attitudes, behaviors and characteristics of the treated and untreated populations.
In 2005, Consumer Health Sciences was acquired by the Ziment Group. The Ziment Group provides Consumer Health Sciences with tremendous assets and insight to expand the National Health and Wellness survey and to create powerful new offerings for clients.
